Blancardy first started as a fortified farm in the 12th century and today, the thickness of its walls still provides a wonderful feeling of comfort and reassurance further enhanced by the 865 acres of serene greenery in which it is nestled. Surrounded by vineyards, close to the Southern city of Montpellier, the farm stands midway between the seashore and the mountains, at the border of Herault and Gard and offers peace and tranquillity.
The estate is first and foremost a winery and Alain will be delighted to help you discover the wines and the cartagene that he produces and bottles on the property.

Wine, however is only one of the wonderful treats that can be sampled here. I had always been fascinated by my grandmother's cooking and decided to follow suit. This is how our canning operation first started, followed soon by the opening of an inn where our regional delicacies mostly based on duck - foie gras and preserved meats await your enjoyment.
Let the site bewitch you. Why leave so soon? A leisurely walk on the property's paths may delay your departure for a while but, you may consider staying a night or two… in our "chambre d'hôtes" (bed and breakfast) or the "gîte de séjour" (guest house).
But before you leave, make sure you bring home a memento of your visit and stop at our shop located in an old cellar, where a full selection of our wines and specialties is there for your choosing.
We hope we will make you share our passion for all the wonders of our region.
See you soon,

Laure
